Cons:Since the puzzle pieces and the pieces in the solution page come numbered, with the first puzzle, he simply started matching the numbers and got it right in a sec! Since then I have him solve the puzzle outside on the table and then make him stick the pieces on the solution page. I feel this could have been avoided. One improvement would be to make it spiral bound so that you dont have to hold the pages while the kid is working! At first, our now 6yo daughter, didn't care for some of these puzzle books.

Anything that makes the child cut, paste, sketch, etc, is great for their hand eye coordination and motor skills. This book is similar to the smaller cut and paste books Kumon offers. There are 20 different "puzzles" to cut out and a separate page to glue them onto. The beginning pages offer numbers to help match the pieces up. Got this for my five year old and she absolutely loves it. It's great cutting practice for her and actually gets quite challenging. But then after the cutting, you get the added bonus of putting together puzzles of very nice images, and glueing them down on to the "map" included for each puzzle.
